Zoo Lights

Be dazzled by custom light displays and canopies at Zoo Lights this winter on Alaska Zoo trails!

Zoo Lights is our annual community light festival spread across the 30 acres of maintained zoo trails. Visitors from across Alaska and around the world visit Zoo Lights, and local families make it a holiday tradition to visit with loved ones and guests.

Open Zoo Lights Dates and Times:

• Opening Night: November 28 (Black Friday), 2025, 5-8pm

• November 28-20, December 5-7, December 12-14, 5-8pm

• Nightly December 19, 2025 - January 4, 2026, 5-8pm

• No Zoo Lights on December 25th (zoo closed Christmas Day)

• February 13-15 (Valentines Weekend), 5-8pm

• March 6-15 (ASD Spring Break plus weekends), 7-9:30pm

• Please note that the Kape Espresso Tayo Coffee Shop will be closed on Saturday evenings during Zoo Lights, as well as on Tuesday evenings over the Winter Break. These closures are due to previous commitments by our Kape Espresso Tayo Coffee Shop service. We are working on having an additional warming area on these evenings, with details to be posted as they become available. In the meantime, you are welcome to bring warm drinks of your own on your zoo visit.

Regular Season Prices

• $25/person ages 3+

• ZOO MEMBER DISCOUNT: Members ages 3+ receive a $10 discount per ticket which will be applied using the following steps:

  • Go to the ticket link above.

  • Log into your zoo membership account.

  • Ensure that your membership is listed as ACTIVE.

  • Go back to the Zoo Lights checkout.

  • Select regular price tickets listed, select date, select time.

  • Add this to your cart and your discounted ticket price will show up in checkout in your cart. It does not show up in the first steps, only after you have added ticket to your shopping cart.

• Ages 2 and under are free

• Please note that, although you select a date in checkout, zoo admissions will honor your Zoo Lights tickets for one use during any open period during the 2025/2026 season.
