Be dazzled by custom light displays and canopies at Zoo Lights this winter on Alaska Zoo trails!
Zoo Lights is the Alaska Zoo’s annual community light festival spread across the 30 acres of maintained zoo trails. We are proud to keep the lights on through sponsorships by ConocoPhillips Alaska, GCI and Morgan Stanley (The Denali Group).
Visitors from across Alaska and around the world visit Zoo Lights. Local families make it a holiday tradition to visit with loved ones and guests. Displays include custom animated lights, trailside lights, overhead canopies and a polar bear bench for perfect photo opportunities.
Open Zoo Lights Dates and Times:
Opening: Nov. 28 (Black Friday), 5-8pm
Nov. 28-20, Dec. 5-7, Dec. 12-14, 5-8pm
Nightly Dec. 19, 2025 - Jan. 4, 2026, 5-8pm
No Zoo Lights Dec. 25 (closed Christmas Day)
Feb. 13-15 (Valentine Weekend), 5-8pm
Mar. 6-15 (Spring Break, weekends), 7-9:30pm
Regular Season Prices
$25/person ages 3+. Ages 2 and under FREE.
MEMBER DISCOUNT: Members ages 3+ get $10 off per ticket, applied at the gate with membership - OR- online using these steps:
Go to ticketing, click here or button above.
Log into your zoo membership account. Add tickets to your cart for checkout. Select your date and time*. When you go to checkout, you will see that the discount is applied in the final steps of checkout.
* Please Note:
Date and time: Although you are required to select a date and time in checkout, we will honor your Zoo Lights tickets for one use during any open period during the 2025/2026 Zoo Lights season. There is no need to transfer dates or times for unused tickets.
We will offer a warming area in the Discovery Center on Zoo Lights evenings, 5-8pm, as a warming station with drinks, treats and crafts.
