Feline Frenzy

A public event celebrating the cats of the Alaska Zoo and community. Join us for a purrr-fect Cat-urday at the Alaska Zoo!

Event Date: September 27th, 2025

Event Time: 12pm-4pm                                                          

Event Location: Alaska Zoo Grounds

Admissions:

  • Regular admission rates and membership use apply.

Schedule of Events:

  • 1-3pm: Petting Zoo

  • 12:30pm: Critter Chat and Enrichment at Snow Leopard.

  • 2pm: Dress up as a cat, join the costume contest at Great Horned Owl (judged by cat rescue groups).

  • 2:30pm: Critter Chat and Enrichment at Tiger.

12-4pm:

  • Welcome table inside the entrance with hands-on items, scavenger hunt and prizes

  • Cat food donation drive – items for cat rescues and items for zoo cats (dropped off at welcome table just inside admissions gate).

  • The Pizza Box Food Truck, Cotton Candy, Fashion Pact Pop Up Shop by the Discovery Center in the old zoo entrance area.

  • Face Painting by Forged in Glitter and Cat Rescue Group booths at the center of the zoo by Great Horned Owl.

  • Cat themed Scavenger Hunt throughout the zoo!
