Earth Hour at the Alaska Zoo

  • Alaska Zoo 4731 O'Malley Road Anchorage, AK, 99507 United States (map)

Join the Alaska Zoo and the hundreds of millions of people, businesses and governments around the world as they unite each year to support the LARGEST ENVIRONMENTAL EVENT IN HISTORY, EARTH HOUR.

Saturday, March 24th, 2018 from 8pm to 10pm at the Alaska Zoo.

Admission to this event is free; all that we ask is for a donation to help fund Arctic animal conservation education at the Alaska Zoo.

Bring a 100% beeswax or soy candle and join us as we turn out the lights for one hour in celebration of the global event, Earth Hour.

Enjoy a presentation on Earth Hour, a candlelit walk through the zoo, and some symbolic animal enrichment with the zoo’s polar bear.

For more information on this event please contact Stephanie Hartman, Education Director, at (907)341-6463 or at slhartman@alaskazoo.org.

Thank you World Wildlife Fund US Arctic Field Program for your continuous support and donation to this Alaska Zoo event!
