Our popular Wildlife Wednesdays Free Wildlife Speaker Series is upon us again! Stay warm and informed on the ways of wildlife in Alaska this winter on the second Wednesday of each month at the Alaska Zoo Gateway Hall. Each talk begins at 7pm and covers a different topic focused on wildlife of the Great Land - Alaska. The presentations are approximately 45 minutes long with questions and answers afterwards.
DECEMBER 12TH: “RESTORING ALASKA’S WOOD BISON”
Learn about the history of wood bison in Alaska, their success in the present and the amazing potential that the future holds. Tom Seaton, Alaska’s wood bison restoration project biologist with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game will share the successes and challenges of this interesting effort.
These talks are FREE, ASL interpreted, and coffee and tea are available. There are door prizes too, graciously donated by Alaska Geographic! Join us this winter, October through April, for yet another season of educational and enriching Wildlife Wednesdays!
