Zoo Tours
Description: We offer many levels of guided tour experiences. Guides are staff and trained zoo volunteers. Guided Encounters are for kids, while Discovery Tours and Private Tours are geared toward adults.

All tours include behind-scenes animal encounters and natural history information. Guided Encounters are for students, camp groups, and other youth organizations. Discovery Tours are offered DAILY FROM NOON - 2:00PM DURING SUMMER SEASON. These tours are great for locals or visitors to our state. Our free zoo shuttle to/from downtown Anchorage accommodates tour times. Private Tours are the most extensive experience we offer, guided by senior zoo staff and offering multiple encounters with animals. These tours may be scheduled after-hours or during open hours.

Tour Type:	Fees:
Guided Encounter (1.5 hours)	$7.00/child & $7/adult (includes zoo admission).
	Fees are paid at Admissions on the day of your tour.
	Must be scheduled in advance.

Discovery Tours (2 hours)	$10.00/youth & $20.00/adult (includes zoo admission).
	Fees are paid at Admissions on the day of your tour.
	Tours are daily from Memorial Day through September 15.
	Daily tour times are set from Noon - 2:00 PM.

Private Tours (2+ hours)	$250.00 minimum donation per group.
	Group size is limited to 10 participants or fewer.
	Fees are paid in advance of tour.
	Must be scheduled in advance.
