Christmas Bird Count for Kids

Attention all scouts, leaders and parents!  We are pleased to announce our third annual Christmas Bird Count for Kids at the Alaska Zoo!

Get your troop, den or pack registered now for the opportunity to become “citizen scientists” during this celebrated annual tradition!  Scouts will explore the outdoors with experienced birders to practice their observational skills and to discover how local birds tough out the Alaska winter. 

This program is for ages 6 and above and will begin at 9am in the Gateway Hall at the Alaska Zoo, and end at 1pm. There will be bird-related freebies for all so don’t miss out on this great opportunity to get outside and have some unforgettable fun encouraging bird conservation.
