Why purchase an annual zoo pass?

Zoo passholders play an important role in supporting the Alaska Zoo as a private non-profit zoo.   Pass purchases go toward animal care, exhibit renovations, and education program growth.

Annual Pass Levels: 

Pass parameters will be changing as of 1/1/2012 to better serve our patrons.  Levels and pricing below will be good for pass purchases made through 12/31/2011.

Individual Pass = $45.00
  • Admission for an individual, no family included, for one year from date of purchase.  Some events excluded, but some are discounted for pass holders.
  • 20% discount in the Gift Shop during December only
  • Option to purchase a 5-pack of admission tickets for $36.00 (great for your guests!)
  • Discounts for Adventure Zoo Camps and Coffee Shop Birthday Parties for kids  
  • Add on an additional person for $18.00, such as a Caretaker
Family Pass = $85.00
  • Admission for mother and father, their minor children (17 years old and under), and four grandparents for one year from date of purchase.  Some zoo events excluded, but some are discounted for pass holders.
  • 20% discount in the Gift Shop during December only
  • Option to purchase a 5-pack of admission tickets for $36.00 (great for your guests!)
  • Discounts for Adventure Zoo Camps and Coffee Shop Birthday Parties for kids
  • Add on an additional person for $18.00, such as a friend, caretaker, nanny, etc.
Friend Pass = $150.00
  • Admission for two adults from different households and their minor children (17 years old and under- limit of 10 included) for one year from date of purchase.  Some zoo events excluded, but some are discounted for pass holders.
  • 20% discount in the Gift Shop during December only
  • Option to purchase a 5-pack of admission tickets for $36.00 (great for your guests!)
  • Discounts for Adventure Zoo Camps and Coffee Shop Birthday Parties for kids
  • Add on an additional person for $18.00
Contributor Pass = $250.00
  • Admission for mother and father, their minor children (17 years old and under), and four grandparents for one year from date of purchase.  Some zoo events excluded, but some are discounted for pass holders.
  • 5 free one-day guest passes 
  • Option to purchase additional 5-pack of admission tickets for $36.00 (great for your guests!)
  • 10% discount in the Gift Shop for the year, plus 20% discount in the Gift Shop during December
  • Discounts for Adventure Zoo Camps and Coffee Shop Birthday Parties for kids
  • 1 free zoo calendar with all of our events listed
  • Add on an additional person for $18.00, such as a friend, caretaker, nanny, etc.
Benefactor Pass = $500.00
  • Admission for mother and father, their minor children (17 years old and under), and four grandparents for one year from date of purchase.  Some zoo events excluded, but some are discounted for pass holders.
  • 1 free behind-the-scenes tour for up to 5 people
  • 5 free one-day guest passes
  • Option to purchase additional 5-pack of admission tickets for $36.00 (great for your guests!)
  • 10% discount in the Gift Shop for the year, plus 20% discount in the Gift Shop during December
  • Discounts for Adventure Zoo Camps and Coffee Shop Birthday Parties for kids
